Makenzie Martin (they/she) is an actor, singer, dancer, creator and collaborator based in New York City. A short train ride north of Manhattan, Makenzie grew up in New Jersey surrounded by her passionate (to say the very least) Italian American family which, if we're being honest, is where her passion for performing and the dramatics began. She is a recent magna cum laude graduate of Marymount Manhattan College where she obtained her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre.

      Starting dance classes at the age of 2 was truly where her love for the stage began, and it only continues to grow stronger. Being a life-long dancer has taught Makenzie discipline, a strong work ethic, and most of all-- a continuous love for theatre and the arts.

       Makenzie has been performing in New York since the age of fifteen, where she opened for the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden dancing with Woodbridge School of Dance. Since graduating, Makenzie is a company dance member for Thistle Dance, she has been seen originating a principle role in a new musical called True Love Conquers All, which premiered at Columbia University School of the Arts in 2022, danced for hundreds of guests a night in Thistle Dance's immersive theatre experience Unbound, which premiered Off-Broadway at The Jefferson Market New York Public Library, and has been seen on Max's reboot of Gossip Girl.

      Makenzie is dedicated to creating , collaborating, and performing art that is both equitable and inclusive. Building a safe community within the work that I do is most important to me.
